This Information on the Protection of Personal Data explains our personal data protection and processing policy, detailing how we collect, transfer, use, and protect your personal data during the services provided by Bilge Hospital.

1. Personal Data Collected by Bilge Hospital

Within the scope of the health services we provide, we collect various information from our patients. The data collected is done in compliance with the principles and conditions of data processing specified in Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, under all circumstances. The information we collect within the scope of the purposes outlined in the second section may include the following:

Your Turkish ID information, passport number,
Place and date of birth,
Your gender,
Your address,
Your phone number,
Your email address,
Patient protocol number assigned to you by Bilge Hospital,
Financial data such as payment and billing information,
Your private health insurance or Social Security Institution data,
Biometric data within the scope of services financed by the Social Security Institution,
Your health data, including but not limited to laboratory results, test results, examination data, check-up information, prescription information,
Your voice recording when you communicate with us,
During your visit to our hospitals, your closed-circuit camera system footage may be recorded,
Your vehicle plate number if you benefit from our parking/valet service,
Health data and identification information you share when using the online services on our website bilgehastanesi.com.tr,
Other data you share when contacting us via email, call center, or other channels.

2. Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data

The personal data we collect within the scope of the services we provide is processed for various purposes, including but not limited to the following:
a. Fulfillment of legal obligations specified in Law No. 3359 on Basic Health Services, Law Decree No. 663 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and Affiliated Institutions, Private Hospitals Regulation, Regulation on the Processing of Personal Health Data and Ensuring Privacy, and other relevant regulations;
b. Protection of public health, preventive healthcare, conduct of medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services, planning and management of healthcare services and financing;
c. Providing you with information about your appointment if you make an appointment;
d. Planning and managing the internal functioning of Bilge Hospital,
e. Analyzing your usage of our services to improve them;
f. Invoicing;
g. Verification of your identity;
h. Verification of your relationship with contracted institutions;
i. Responding to requests from the Ministry of Health and other public institutions and organizations as required by the applied legislation;
j. Responding to your questions or complaints related to our services;
k. Analyzing the use of healthcare services to improve the services offered;
l. Compliance with Bilge Hospital's internal policies and principles;
m. Measurement of patient satisfaction after receiving healthcare services and increasing patient satisfaction;
n. Contacting you for information purposes regarding our services;
o. Procurement of drugs or medical devices.
However, your personal data will not be used for commercial purposes in any way, except for the activities listed above and in cases required by relevant legislation.

3. Persons and Organizations to Which Your Personal Data May Be Transferred

In order to ensure an appropriate level of security for your personal data in accordance with the KVKK and relevant health legislation, and by taking all necessary technical and administrative measures, your personal data may be transferred to the following persons and entities for the purposes specified in Section 2: institutions or organizations permitted by Law No. 3359 on Basic Health Services, Law Decree No. 663 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and Affiliated Institutions, Private Hospitals Regulation, Regulation on the Processing of Personal Health Data and Ensuring Privacy, and other relevant legislation; private insurance companies; our direct/indirect domestic/international shareholders, affiliated companies, and/or subsidiaries; our group companies; auditors; consultants; business partners; domestic/international organizations with which we contract and collaborate, and other third parties.

4. Method and Legal Basis of Personal Data Collection

Your personal data is collected in any form of oral, written, or electronic media, for the purposes listed above and to fulfill the contractual and legal obligations of Bilge Hospital.

5. Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

Under the authority of Bilge Hospital as the data controller processing your personal data, in accordance with Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), you can submit the "KVKK Access/Information Request Form" provided below. You can deliver it in person to the hospital address where you received services, send it via notary public, or securely transmit it with an electronic signature to [email protected];
a) Learn whether your personal data has been processed;
b) Request information about the processing activities of your personal data;
c) Learn the purposes of processing your personal data;
d) Learn the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or internationally;
e) Request correction if your personal data is incomplete or incorrectly processed;
f) Request deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons requiring processing have ceased to exist or if Bilge Hospital no longer has a legal basis or legitimate interest in processing such data;
g) Object to the results arising from the processing of personal data through automated systems;
h) Demand compensation for damages if you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
Bilge Hospital will conclude the request as soon as possible and within a maximum of thirty days, free of charge, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, Bilge Hospital will charge the fee specified in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
