RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT UNIT
- Coordinate activities conducted within the framework of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Monitor and track initiatives related to corporate goals and objectives
- Manage self-assessments
- Manage processes related to the Safety Reporting System
- Manage processes related to risk management
- Oversee activities related to measuring patient and employee satisfaction (such as survey applications, evaluation of survey results, improvement initiatives based on survey results, and gathering feedback from patients and employees)
- Ensure the management of documents within the QMS framework
- Check written regulations
- Track the revision of written regulations
- Manage processes related to quality indicators
- Participate as a member in committees established within the framework of the QMS
- Evaluate statistical information related to service delivery
- Coordinate activities conducted within the framework of the QMS
RESPONSIBILITIES OF QUALITY RESPONSIBLES IN DEPARTMENTS
- Implement and enforce quality standards in their units, and collaborate with the quality unit.
- Conduct analyses related to departmental goals and report to the quality management unit.
- Responsible individuals must monitor the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities in their departments.
- Responsible individuals are also responsible for inpatient education and collaborate with their teams.
- Responsible individuals are in charge of department orientation.
- Department responsible individuals are obligated to fill out quality indicator cards based on the quality standards of their units and report them to the quality unit.
- Ensure that written regulations within the scope of the QMS sent to their departments reach all department employees.
- Identify QMS training needs and provide training to their departments.
- Collaborate with top management and department managers to determine department goals within the scope of the QMS.
- Report to the Quality Management Unit by conducting analyses related to departmental goals.
- Provide information to department employees about the QMS and its activities.
- Personally inspect the implementation of patient and employee safety practices in their departments.
- Ensure the regular completion of reporting and notifications within the QMS (Safety Reporting System, quality indicator notifications, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Quality Management Unit and KYD in QMS self-assessments.
- Attend evaluation meetings with hospital management regarding goals and self-assessment results.
- Departmental quality responsibles, in coordination with the Quality Management Unit and KYD carry out their activities within the framework of the QMS.
- Each department quality responsible keeps regular records of their activities. They send a copy of the evaluation reports to the Quality Management Unit.
COMMITTEE ACTIVITY CYCLE
After the Quality Management Unit communicates activities related to their areas of responsibility to the committee, the committees prepare a plan regarding the activities falling under their responsibility and execute their activities according to the plan. They hold meetings at regular intervals to review activities and initiate corrective-preventive actions as needed. They send analysis results of incident notifications and documents related to their activities to the Quality Management Unit.
