He graduated from Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He served in health centers in Kulp district of Diyarbakır and Akçakoca district of Düzce. In 1986, he started his residency in the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases at Şişli Etfal Hospital. He became a Pediatric Health and Diseases Specialist in 1991. Between 1991 and 1999, he worked in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Çapa Faculty of Medicine. Between 1999 and 2000, he worked in the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases at Vakıf Kuraba Hospital. He retired from civil service in 2009. Subsequently, he worked in private hospitals in various provinces. Since 2017, he has been working in Sakarya.
